“We share the most unique thing thing we have”, the new campaign presented by IGP Melocotón de Cieza

On 25 June 2024, the Plaza de España in Cieza witnessed the launch of the IGP Melocotón de Cieza 2024 campaign, with the slogan “We share the most unique thing we have”. This event brought together prominent figures such as the Regional Minister of Agriculture of the Region of Murcia, Sara Rubira, and the Mayor of Cieza, Tomás Rubio, as well as the famous local footballer Isi Palazón, who was appointed sponsor of the campaign. Despite weather difficulties which delayed the harvest of the Baby Gold 6 and Romea varieties, the campaign aims to highlight the unique qualities of the Cieza peach and its connection with the local community.

The campaign will be promoted through the signage of lorries for international routes and the installation of billboards in key markets such as Mercabarna and Mercamadrid. A special labelling campaign has also been designed and a positioning strategy on social networks, covering Instagram, Facebook, X and LinkedIn. The Cieza Peach PGI will participate in important events such as Fruit Attraction and Fruit Logistica, showcasing its product alongside its producers. The president of the PGI, Manuel Ruiz, highlighted the importance of the quality seal that certifies the excellence of the peach and represents a significant recognition for local producers. The companies Alimer, Distinet, La Vega de Cieza, Pitiso and Thader Cieza are responsible for producing this select peach, which will soon begin to be distributed.
