Feeds, Dairy Products and Livestock Farming
We take care of our animals during all their life and we control all aspects of their growth. Therefore, we produce our own feed based on a cereal diet in order to guarantee the correct development of the animals and the quality of the final dairy and meat products. We also have our own veterinary department that ensures the welfare of animals and therapy they may require.
Our livestock is mostly composed of porks of “white meat”, cattle and goats. We breed goats from our local area, the goat from Murcia and Granada region which produces high- quality milk for the production of our cheeses called “La Fortaleza del Sol” (Fortress of Sun).
Feeds
At Alimer, we produce a wide variety of feed suitable for the needs of each animal and the period of their life. Different types of feed are produced depending on the age, animal conditions or objective of the livestock.
Dairy products
We produce 27 million litres of milk per year. Our milk is of goat origin, specifically the one from Murcia and Granada region as the main source of our production.
Livestock farming
The pig of “white meat” is the prevailing breed of our livestock. We raise these pigs from their reproduction until the arrival at the slaughterhouse of the meat industry “La Comarca” of which we are shareholders.
